The Tokyo Tower Cheeseburger is a shop-only burger sold at this Tokyo Tower branch, said to be stacked with 15 layers that include patties, pastrami bacon, fried onion, sliced cheese, chopped onion, and a hot chili sauce rather than the chain’s usual meat sauce. MOS Chicken is the chain’s fried chicken side, in a crunchy batter. In the shop’s Tabelog name, ten simply means branch.

I came out to Tokyo Tower. Inside, there is a food court with a MOS Burger in it. Glancing over casually, I noticed a timeline of MOS Burger’s history. Huh, so that is how their history looks.
While I was looking at that, this poster caught my eye…
Wait, ha, MOS Burger has shop-limited burgers? ha
So, this time it is MOS Burger! It seems that here at Tokyo Tower, there are limited-edition burgers called the “Tokyo Tower Cheeseburger” and the “Tokyo Tower Burger.” Honestly, I had no idea until now… How could you not want to try something like this!
The shop is one stall inside the food court, with seating shared with the other places. I arrived before 11:00, so I climbed Tokyo Tower first and then headed over to the shop at 11:00.
All right, I placed my order at the self-checkout, took the buzzing pager, and waited for a bit.
I made it an M (medium) set, and the total came to 1,950 yen.
Apparently, this has 15 layers. I was quite curious about how they would serve it (I thought it might come standing upright on a skewer, but it was firmly served laid flat, ha). It comes wrapped in paper, and even if you press the whole thing down a bit through the wrapper, you cannot get all the layers in one bite, ha.
The sauce is hot chili, not the usual meat sauce. What hits first is a sharp kick of heat, and the mellowness of two slices of cheese joins in to balance it out just right. The saltiness of the patties and pastrami bacon, the crisp bite of the onion rings, the crunch of the chopped onions — it is fun how each layer plays its own part, but well, at this size, it is tricky to eat, ha.
When you come to MOS Burger, you kind of have to eat this too! It had been a while since I had MOS Chicken, but it was so good. The crunchy coating on the tender chicken is delicious! (Maybe I ate a bit too much.)
And so, on an impulse, MOS Burger. It had been a while, so the nostalgia of MOS came rushing right back! By the way, as for that Tokyo Tower Cheeseburger, the taste is, well, ordinary, I’d say, ha. But it certainly stays in your memory! If you have come all the way to Tokyo Tower, why not stop by and try MOS Burger’s limited menu?
