Hello, this is Hangover Meshi. Right — when you say America you say hamburgers. “IN-N-OUT” is the burger chain that Ohtani is said to have named when asked what his favorite food in America was. Once you are in the States you want to go, do you not! So I searched, and it seems there are several branches in Las Vegas. Among them I decided on the one near the Flamingo hotel, which was very close to where I had business.
But on the day it was cloudless and blazing. The sunlight in Vegas is unbelievably strong.

Arrive at the shop and it is packed lol So many people lol About as busy as a McDonald’s in a nightlife district!

Well, it is not exactly cheap, but I had been seeing nothing but meals casually over $10, so I was startled.
I ordered the most popular item, the double-double, plus French fries and a regular-size drink.
The staff were friendlier and seemed kinder than at the places around, so it was very easy to order lol
Right, you take a number and a drink cup, and wait to be called while sipping your drink — and there are simply so many people!
So fast food in America has unlimited drinks. You get a cup and help yourself as you like. I thought I might secure a seat before my number was called, but it was quite impossible lol So when my number came I took the tray and sat down in front of the fountain outside to eat.
And this is the in-n-out burger!!
Or rather, the sun outside is dangerously hot lol
The burger is easy to eat because it is not wrapped up entirely the way they do in Japan. And it stands upright lol
The fries are laid out flat as well, so they feel easy to eat. The ones at McDonald’s are a bit hard to get out at the end.
One bite and — oooh, good!!
in-n-out is delicious! The buns are fluffy, and the vegetables inside feel extremely fresh. The fragrant patties, two of them, thud. This is far better as a double-double than as a single. The whole thing comes together neatly and it is a very good burger. I see. I like McDonald’s and Mos Burger too, but if this were in Japan I might well choose it. The fries are different from McDonald’s fries too! Crisp, and somehow I feel in-n-out’s taste a little better as well.
The sun was too strong, so I ate quickly and withdrew lol
Las Vegas has low humidity though, so you do not sweat much, which is nice. Japan is muggy and unpleasantly hot lol
Finally got to eat it! The long-awaited in-n-out. It certainly is good enough to be talked about, I thought. Perhaps I feel that all the more because it does not exist in Japan, but the soft buns and the meat were lovely. I want to eat it again. Next time I go to America I shall. Or rather — would they not come to Japan?
