A note on the words: samgyeopsal is Korean grilled pork belly, cooked on a plate at your table and then wrapped in a leaf with sauce and garlic before you eat it. Sanpa set is this shop’s own name for its wrap course, which comes with a spread of vegetables to do the wrapping with, all of it refillable. Sundubu-jjigae is a bubbling stew of soft tofu, and tontoro is the fatty jowl cut of pork. Akasaka is a business and nightlife quarter a few minutes from the government district, and its Korean restaurants are a long-standing draw. Prices are as of this writing (August 2026).

Hello, this is Hangover Meshi. This time a Korean restaurant in Akasaka: Yasai Mura Daichi. A samgyeopsal place, grilled pork belly, where the vegetables are all-you-can-eat. I had booked, just in case, and when I walked in the place was doing a roaring trade lol Not a seat free. Hugely popular. The seats by the entrance held a party of about thirty, and the tables at the back were full as well. The staff were rushing about. Quite something.

Sanpa set plus two hours of all-you-can-drink (draft beer included): 6,000 yen
Sanpa set with all-you-can-eat meat as well, plus two hours of all-you-can-drink (draft beer included): 7,000 yen
Whatever else, the secret of the popularity has to be how cheap it is lol
The vegetables are all-you-can-eat either way, but 7,000 yen for unlimited meat and unlimited drinks on top is cheap!
Well, unlimited meat or not, there was no chance I would eat that much, so we took the 6,000 yen set with the drinks.
And if you can do without beer it comes to 5,500 yen. Remarkable.
Only the first round of drinks was slow, the shop being in some disarray, but things settled down soon enough.

We sat down to a mountain of vegetables! Refills on this set are free, by the way.

When I asked whether we could have more of the condiments as well, they brought them (garlic), so I take it those are unlimited too.
For a while we sat with the vegetables and the dipping sauce, drinking, and waited^^
You could happily eat the vegetables and sauce on their own. I had already asked for a refill before the meat arrived^^

The meat! It is huge! That is three portions.
At a glance it looks like something you could polish off in no time, but once you start eating you fill up^^

They cut it up for you and move it to the cooler edge of the grill.
They do the whole thing for you, which makes life easy!

Then you wrap it in a leaf, load it with the sauce and plenty of garlic, and put the whole thing in your mouth at once — superb^^
This is really good! Later on I switched from beer to gin and soda, and how well the clean edge of the gin goes with samgyeopsal! Delicious.
And then, as anyone could have predicted. By the time the meat was gone I was full of vegetables.
Just as well we did not take the unlimited meat^^ The vegetables alone will fill you right up! Satisfying.
I thought that was the end of it — and then a main course arrives at the finish! What a quantity of food.

Sundubu-jjigae, the soft tofu stew, and I told them to hold the rice^^

Delicious!
The all-you-can-eat vegetables were hugely satisfying! I realized afterwards that you can apparently pick from several kinds of meat as well. Say nothing and I expect you get samgyeopsal lol but the choice is samgyeopsal, pork shoulder, or tontoro, the jowl. So next time I might order a different cut. With a few more people you could take the unlimited meat and work through the lot, which sounds like fun!

I ate here and paid for it myself. Nothing on this site is a comped meal.
