A note on the words: eggs Benedict is a breakfast dish of toasted English muffin halves topped with bacon, egg, and hollandaise sauce—a velvety sauce whisked from butter and egg yolks with a hint of acidity—served here as a dainty morning plate. A Japanese cream soda (kurimu soda) is an iced, colorful carbonated soft drink crowned with a scoop of vanilla ice cream; here it is scented with kinmokusei (fragrant olive, or osmanthus), a flower cherished throughout Japan for its sweet, perfumed aroma, featured as a themed birth-flower drink.

JAIME on Tabelog (English) — opening hours, payment details and the Japanese address are kept up to date there, not here.
Hello, this is Hangover Meshi. Hot in the morning too! So, slipping away from the blazing sun, I headed into “JAIME”. When I peeked inside there were no customers at all—lucky. I seemed to recall hearing that the morning menu had changed recently, so the timing was just right. Told to take any seat I liked, I cooled off for a bit at a wall-side table.

JAIME morning bread set — 600 yen
Eggs Benedict — 900 yen

Has the menu shrunk a little, I wonder? Eggs Benedict isn’t something I usually eat, so I really wanted to try it!

I had also heard there was a birth-flower cream soda, but at 1,000 yen it’s actually more expensive than the eggs Benedict, ha! But that really is what cafes are about, isn’t it? Coming to a cafe and not ordering a drink feels off, so I chose the birth-flower kinmokusei (fragrant olive, or osmanthus) cream soda.
Since it was a one-person operation, they mentioned it would take some time, so I settled in to wait at a leisurely pace.
Well, I wasn’t in any rush anyway, so that was perfectly fine.

The morning sunlight looks refreshing enough when you watch it from somewhere cool, but standing out in it is scorching hot, which is the rough part, ha.
First, the drinks arrived: the orange juice and water that come with the set.

Ooh, looks delicious! An egg heated somehow—ha—resting on the muffin top? Or heel? It didn’t feel like it was fried, so I wonder if it was poached? ha. It was topped with hollandaise sauce, and taking a bite, it was delicious. Ah, what an elegant breakfast. The bacon was freshly cooked, too, which was nice. The portion is a little small, but that’s just how these things are.

This is quite something, too. Taking a sip, it was a soda fragrant with osmanthus, topped with cold vanilla ice cream.
Isn’t this wonderful? I got to spend such an elegant morning.

By the way, this is the morning bread set. The boiled egg sitting in an egg cup is a nice touch, ha! Along with that came three pieces of bread.
At 600 yen it’s cheap, but this really is a tiny portion!
It’s so comfortable when it’s not crowded. On weekends long lines form all the way outside, so that seems tough, but weekday mornings feel like a real find, so if you really want to check it out once, a weekday morning might be the best bet! Well, whether they do cakes and such remains a mystery, though…

I ate here and paid for it myself. Nothing on this site is a comped meal.
