A note on the words: a niku bar is a casual Japanese-style meat tavern serving steaks, roasted meats and ribs alongside beer and other drinks. Otoshi is the seating charge appetizer served automatically at Japanese taverns, which was popcorn here. Saikoro steak is beef cut into bite-sized dice, often cooked quickly on a griddle. Carpaccio here refers to thin-sliced raw tuna, served with greens.

Niku Bar D.U.M.B.O Queen’s Square Yokohama ten on Tabelog (English) — opening hours, payment details and the Japanese address are kept up to date there, not here.
Hello, this is Hangover Meshi. I had some errands to run in Minato Mirai! Once you leave the station, Queen’s Square is right there. So once my errands were finished, on the way back I decided to drop into a spot inside Queen’s Square for a drink. There were all sorts of restaurants, but the one I ended up picking was “Niku Bar D.U.M.B.O”. The listing says the fifth floor, but the elevator only goes up to the fourth floor; wondering what was going on, it turns out you can head up from the fourth floor to the fifth floor, so it is a shop you can only reach by stairs ^^
Incidentally, the seat I was shown to had a lovely night view, looking like this ^^

Beef sirloin combo — 8,000 yen
T-bone steak combo — 9,000 yen
Pork spare rib BBQ combo — 4,200 yen
Roast chicken combo — 4,900 yen
Tuna carpaccio — 980 yen

Scanning the menu, we eagerly fired off our orders!

The otoshi was popcorn.

The tuna is sliced thin, yet the flavor is solid and it is very easy to eat. Delicious.
I wonder if the greens served alongside are kale? There seems to be something like a kale salad on the menu as well, so maybe kale is their thing.

Here is the full roast chicken combo! A whole bird.
There is plenty of chicken, but it is nicely packed with lots of vegetables too. Incidentally, it came with three sauces — miso sauce, garlic sauce, and rum raisin sauce — with an encouraging suggestion to dip and try them! But it was plenty delicious without dipping into anything at all, and if pressed, I think the garlic sauce was my favorite.

And here is the one-pound beef sirloin combo.
Well, it is a bit disappointing that it ended up looking something like saikoro steak (diced steak cubes).
As for the taste, well, it tasted like steak. It leaned somewhat tough, so it felt rather chewy.
So with that, we called it a night! They have craft beer on hand too, but the pours felt a bit small across the board. If anything, the Heineken Extra Cold was the coldest and tastiest! The night view is lovely and the location is fantastic, so if it became a place where you could greedily tuck into meat with hefty beer mugs, it seems it would be even easier to recommend!

I ate here and paid for it myself. Nothing on this site is a comped meal.
