Hi, this is Hangover Meshi. Omotesando! I had a bit of time to kill before an appointment, so I figured I would have a light drink or two, and I stepped into a cafe that caught my eye with its very stylish look. Even so, this place is something else lol
They asked whether I would prefer inside or the terrace, so I chose the terrace! I was not planning to stay long anyway, so I kept it simple.
It looks like they have a proper regular dinner menu too, so this might be a place you could reasonably come to for an actual meal!
This time, though, it was just a snack and a drink for me.
For a snack I chose the fries^^ — and the portion turned out to be quite a lot lol
The fries come with truffle oil and truffle salt, giving them a truffle flavor^^
Goes well with a drink, as you would expect! If you are pairing truffle fries with something, a highball is the move!
Then I found myself wanting something a bit sweet — whipped cream, specifically — and ordered the gateau chocolat.
It turned out to be a huge portion lol
It came out in a skillet. I had been picturing something smaller, but looking at the price again, a serving this size makes sense! As for the actual taste, the inside is filled with molten chocolate, warm and delicious! Not too sweet, and it actually paired nicely as a snack alongside whiskey. There are just times when you crave cream for no particular reason, and I enjoyed it thoroughly^^
Really, just a quick stop. Three highballs, the fries, and the gateau chocolat, and that was it. Being a weekday, the place was probably fairly quiet. All the same, it seems like a handy sort of drinking cafe for casually dropping in for a quick one, and I have a feeling I will use it again for something. Worth remembering.
