A Grass-Fed Burger at Lark Creek Grill, SFO Terminal 2

A note on the words: grass-fed means cattle raised on pasture rather than grain. A brioche bun is enriched with butter and egg. Yoshoku, the category Tabelog files this shop under, means Japanese-style Western food. Prices are in US dollars and are as they stood at the time of the visit.

Hello, this is Hangover Meshi. A business trip to America for the first time in a year! So it is off to Las Vegas again, but this time connecting through San Francisco International Airport! I suppose I was on the plane for about nine hours. Well, by the second time one is fairly used to it. There is a transit of about three hours in San Francisco, so I was drifting about thinking I might have a beer and something to eat — and there is a rather nice restaurant right there in the airport! The name: “Lark Creek Grill.” There seemed to be seats free, so in I went.

SMOKED SALMON PLATE $19.95

MEAT SCRAMBLE $18.95

GRASS-FED BURGER $19.95

The grass-fed burger is a classic burger of lettuce, tomato, onion and lemon garlic aioli in a brioche bun. This costs about 3,000 yen lol
Incidentally, the extra toppings ($3.00 each) seem to be
cheddar / Swiss / blue cheese / bacon / mushrooms / avocado.

The other burger is the Beyond Burger. This is apparently a vegan item.

Ta-daa! It looks good!
It is an American burger, but it is not excessively large — just about right.
The patty is grilled until fragrant, the meat is firm and it is delicious! The vegetables are very fresh.

On the side, fries with a dipping sauce.
This dipping sauce is good in its own right, and when I took the burger apart and put a little inside, it was extremely good!

Over here, does onion mean red onion?
Overall it is a classic gourmet burger and there is a steadiness to it! And it fills you right up!

Thank you for the meal!

So: I ate a home-country burger to mark my arrival in America, and American burgers really are delicious! Gourmet burgers, or rather properly made burgers, have been arriving in Japan a fair amount lately! It is rather good that a burger from an ordinary place like this, inside an airport, should be this good! Right, I shall eat plenty in America too!

I ate here and paid for it myself. Nothing on this site is a comped meal.
