A note on the words: Chocolixir is GODIVA’s own name for its blended chocolate drink, and the percentage refers to the cacao content. This branch has since closed; the visit described here was made while it was open. Prices are as of this writing (August 2026).

GODIVA cafe Nihonbashi on Tabelog (English) — opening hours, payment details and the Japanese address are kept up to date there, not here.
I want something good to eat today too. This is Hangover Meshi. I was in Nihonbashi so I dropped in briefly. GODIVA cafe Nihonbashi. It is directly above the station and always quiet, which makes it comfortable. It has been cold lately, so I thought I would warm myself thoroughly here before going out walking. And looking at the menu, there is a hot one. Well now — I do not think I have had that. So I asked for the hot.

Hot Chocolixir, regular (670 yen)
Hot Chocolixir!

On the left is the normal Chocolixir, 33% I think. The cold one is 750 yen. The Hot Chocolixir is a little cheaper at 670 yen.
The hot version is a chocolate drink inside, with chocolate whipped cream and chips on top. The volume is about the same, I suppose? It goes down easily and warms you. Sweet and good.
It is good, but with the whipped cream on top and it not being all that hot, it slips down — so the hot one is finished sooner. The cold, ordinary Chocolixir has more substance to it. Case by case, I suppose, but as a snack the cold one is better. For using the place as a cafe for a short break, the hot one.
I am a champion of GODIVA cafe, so I have introduced it again, however briefly. It would be a nuisance if this comfortable, quiet space got too busy, but the Chocolixir is very good and I recommend it. Chocolate is the best.

I ate here and paid for it myself. Nothing on this site is a comped meal.
