When I was walking in Akasaka Mitsuke, I saw an unfamiliar curtain. If you look closely, it’s “Imakatsu”. The famous “Sasami Katsu” restaurant in Roppongi, before you know it, has also opened in Akasaka before you know it. It seemed to be open, so I decided to go in.
It’s not that big inside, but it’s a clean shop with a sense of having just opened.
Table seating and a counter. It’s very spacious compared to the small space in the Roppongi shop.

I hadn’t been here in a while, so I made an imakatsu set meal that was named after the restaurant!
The first thing that appeared was the cabbage.
Thinly shredded, lush and easy to eat cabbage!
The sesame dressing is quite tasty and I think I’ll go for it.
And that’s how the imakatsu zen appeared!
One bite pork fillet, white meat cutlet, crab cream croquette, and menchi cutlet.
It’s a wonderful set meal where you can eat almost all of the fried food available at Imakatsu in one go. First of all, I started with a cutlet of white meat. The recommendation is salt.
Even though it is a chicken, it is soft and juicy. There’s no flaky image and it’s so delicious! Next to the salt, you can also try boiling it in a sauce.
One bite fillet cutlet. The thick cut of meat is tender and delicious!
The pork cutlet is also excellent.
And this is a menchikatsu.
It is juicy and very soft. It feels like it will melt in your mouth. The combination of onions and meat is outstanding.
I don’t usually eat crab cream croquettes, so I haven’t had them in a while.
It’s creamy and delicious, but it’s hot inside, so be careful not to get burned! It goes well with rice, I thought.
Sasami Katsu is very delicious, but I used to only go there once in a while because it was crowded and a bit cramped at the Roppongi restaurant, but now I feel like I can go there more easily at Akasaka. This is a restaurant I would like to go back to next time!
